Accessibility

Our goal

Verstehbar is meant to make events more accessible. That’s why we design this website and the caption views following WCAG 2.2, level AA: legible type, strong contrast, fully usable with a keyboard, no cookies and no mandatory app.

• The typeface Atkinson Hyperlegible was designed for legibility, including for people with low vision.
• Text remains readable when you zoom the page to 200 or 400 percent.
• On phones you can set the font size and light or dark mode yourself; on the big screen there is a high-contrast mode.

Status

An independent audit is still pending. We will publish a detailed accessibility statement after that audit. A version in Easy Language (German “Leichte Sprache”) is planned.
